What This Trainer Measures

Practise hitting two targets in sequence. The drill records completed pairs, shot accuracy, time to the first hit and time between the two hits. It is a browser target-switching exercise, not a simulation of an entire tactical engagement.

The Mechanics of Target Switching in Tactical FPS

Hit the first target, then acquire and hit the second. Review first-target time and switching time separately, alongside accuracy and the number of valid timing samples. Use repeated same-condition rounds to identify changes; the trainer does not record enough information to diagnose grip, eye movement or mouse-path shape.

How to Read and Interpret Your Results

Compare accuracy, completed pairs, first-target time and switching time under the same settings. Timing averages only include successful hit samples; missing samples are not zero-time hits. A faster switch with worse accuracy is a tradeoff. These results cannot establish why a target was missed or guarantee less hesitation in ranked matches.

Pro Practice Guidelines

  • Lock in the first elimination before initiating any mouse movement toward the second target.
  • Let your eyes lead your hand: snap your gaze directly to target two the moment target one is hit.
  • Repeat comparable rounds before changing difficulty or interpreting a trend.

Common Pitfalls to Avoid

Moving on before hitting the first target can leave the pair unfinished. Avoid chasing faster switching at the expense of accurate hits. Change difficulty between rounds and compare each preset separately.

Frequently Asked Questions

What tactical FPS skills does Double Shot develop?

It lets you practise the sequence of acquiring one target and moving to another. The recorded indicators describe aim and timing in this drill, not composure, tactical decisions or game rank.

How does target switching translate into VALORANT rounds?

Target switching is relevant to aiming at successive opponents, but this drill omits movement, cover, recoil and opponent decisions. Improved drill results alone do not prove improved match performance.

Which preset should I use for daily training?

Start with a preset whose target size and timing you can follow. Keep it fixed for comparable practice, then try another preset as a separate baseline. There is no validated universal completion-rate threshold for advancing.

Should I practice target switching before or after precision drills?

We recommend practicing Precision or Flick drills first to calibrate your single-shot accuracy, then moving to Double Shot to train transition speed between targets.

Does in-game sensitivity affect target switching performance?

Sensitivity changes affect the comparison conditions. Keep it consistent when reviewing progress. A matching sensitivity value does not guarantee identical feel across browser and game environments.
